Incorporated in 1953 with a permanent population of only 130, Juno Beach is in an area originally inhabited over 1500 years ago, and later through the beginning of the 18th century by the Jaega tribe. Today, Juno Beach boasts a population of over 3,100 full time residents, and an additional 7,000+ seasonal residents. Known for its expansive beaches and magnificent water views of the intracoastal waterway and ocean, about 43% of Juno Beach is county park land or environmentally sensitive land, keeping the area less congested and extremely livable.
Juno Beach can be readily identified from the water with its 990 ft fishing pier. Frequented by sports fisherman and sightseers the Juno Beach Pier is split into 3 different areas where you can see and catch a variety of different fish. Admission is $1 for sightseers and $3 for fisherman.
Residents and visitors additionally can enjoy beautiful walking trails, a guarded beach with children’s play area, and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, located just across the street from the beach. Here at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center you can learn about all of the turtle patients as well as the awe inspiring turtle nesting period from May until October. If you are very lucky you can see the baby hatchlings begin their life when they scurry to the water!
The Town Center area of Juno Beach also features a quiet pond with walking path and benches, quaint shops, excellent restaurants, cultural events and sports activities. The area is also close to upscale shopping in Palm Beach Gardens at Downtown at the Gardens, The Gardens Mall, and Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.
